US Route 35 to State Route 325 South, left on state Route 141, Right on Dan Jones Road (County Road 28).

 From State Route 7:

From Gallipolis, State Route 141 West, left on State Route 775, Right after bridge over Raccoon Creek on Dan Jones Road (County Road 28).

Situated in the foothills of Southeastern Ohio, Raccoon Creek County Park is bordered on the north by Raccoon Creek, the stream formerly called “Etha Petha,” the Shawnee word for raccoon.  To the south lies hills and upland fields adjacent to the historic Popular Knob.  The park showcases 700 acres of both natural areas and recreation facilities that afford visitors many and varied leisure experiences year-round.

The Raccoon Creek County Park has six shelter houses that may be reserved for family reunions, company picnics and special events. Each shelter is equipped with picnic tables and a large outdoor grill. Electric and water services are available on location. Shelter reservations are received up to one year in advance of your event. Permits are issued following confirmation of reservation.
