November 25th-January 2nd
The best holiday escape in southeastern Ohio is “Gallipolis In Lights”, a holiday light display that is guaranteed to lift your holiday spirits this year. Thousands of lights fill the Gallipolis City Park from dusk till dawn, November 25th to January 2nd. Created each year by a group of dedicated community volunteers who light up the park like a scene from a romantic Christmas movie. Thanks to their determination and hard work, Downtown Gallipolis is a stop along the Ohio Holiday Lights Trail and has gained state recognition.
Gallipolis In Lights begins each year the Official Park Lighting, which will be held Wednesday November 24th. Event details TBD.
Visitors can explore the lights display to find that perfect photo op as holiday music plays throughout the park. There is parking located all around the park so visitors can also stay toasty in their cars as they take in the beauty and magic. If you keep your eyes peeled you may get a sight of Ole’ Saint Nick, who is known to be seen riding around the park.
Downtown Gallipolis is also home to several unique small businesses that can help you find that perfect gift. From plants to apparel to personalized signs to handmade leather goods, Gallipolis has you covered. Many of these businesses offer online orders so you can also shop from the comfort of your own home. Click here for a complete listing of shops.
The Gallipolis in Lights Display is only able to be lit up based on the number of COVID-19 cases in the area. So, please help keep the community safe and our lights on by wearing your mask and give other visitors plenty of space and patience.
