A visit to the Traveling Bricks exhibition makes for a perfect group outing or school field trip.

Groups of 10 or more are encouraged to make a free reservation by calling the Library at 740.446.7323, extension 229, 233, or 235.

Parties of less than 10 are not required to make a reservation.

Walk-ins are welcome on a first come, first served basis.

The Excitement is “Building”!

Bossard Memorial Library is pleased to announce its upcoming hosting of Traveling Bricks — a spectacular international touring exhibition that reimagines the history of human transportation and technological advancement through the universal language of LEGO® style brick art.

This one-of-a-kind exhibit will be on display at Bossard Library from January 17, 2026 through April 19, 2026.

Crafted by professional artists, Traveling Bricks showcases 120 stunning models across 60 themed scenes, using more than 1 million LEGO® bricks. 

In order to make the exhibit enjoyable for all, please obey the exhibit rules listed below:

• No food, drink, or chewing gum
• No touching of the exhibit models
• Ages 12 and under admitted with a responsible adult
• Strollers, scooters, and wheelchairs are permitted
• Photography is permitted in the exhibit area only
• Professional and commercial photography is not allowed
• No flash photography
• No videography please
• No running

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) provides food boxes once a month to nutritionally at-risk, income-eligible participants 60 years or older in Athens, Hocking, Gallia, Lawrence, Jackson, Meigs, organ, Perry, Vinton and Washington Counties. Each CSFP food box contains a variety of USDA donated commodities that may include cereal, grits, powdered milk, pasta, evaporated milk, cheese, rice, canned meat, peanut butter, canned fruit, canned vegetables, fruit juices, dry beans and oats.

You must be approved by the Southeast Ohio Foodbank and have received an approval letter from them to attend.

The French City Writers’ Guild meets at 5:30 PM on the second Thursday of the month.

Are you interested in creative writing? Do you want to be able to share your ideas and written works?

If so, you are invited to join the French City Writers’ Guild. The Writers’ Guild is an open forum writing group that enables you to share your works and meet others who share your passion for writing.

Our goal is to provide a comfortable place for writers to read their works to an audience and receive constructive feedback, hear the works of others, network with other local writers, and hone their craft.

Meetings are for those ages 18+ as, on occasion, works with more mature content may be presented and discussed. Light refreshments will be served.
