Outdoor enthusiasts from across the region will soon have a new event to mark on their calendars as The 740 Outdoor Show makes its debut, bringing together the best in hunting, fishing, boating, camping, outdoor recreation, and conservation.
Scheduled for March 6-7, 2027, at the Gallia County Jr. Fairgrounds Activity Building, the event will feature a wide variety of exhibitors, outdoor gear vendors, expert seminars, demonstrations, family-friendly activities, and opportunities for attendees to connect with industry professionals and fellow sportsmen and women.
Whether you’re an avid hunter, tournament angler, camper, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, the show promises something for every outdoor enthusiast. Attendees can explore the latest equipment and technology, discover new outdoor destinations, learn from experienced guides and professionals, and take advantage of exclusive show specials and giveaways.
“We’re excited to create an event that celebrates the outdoor lifestyle and brings together the people, businesses, and organizations that make our outdoor community so strong, said Eric Clary, Gallia County Youth Shooting Sports Coordinator. “The show will provide a unique opportunity for visitors to discover new products, learn new skills, and connect with others who share a passion for the outdoors. We’re also proud to partner with the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Gallia County Fair Board to bring this event to life. Their support and commitment to our community will help make this show a leading destination throughout the region.”
The 740 Outdoor Show aims to showcase the rich outdoor heritage of the region while promoting responsible recreation, conservation, and outdoor education.
“The outdoor community continues to grow, and we’re committed to growing with it,” said Amanda Crouse, Executive Director of the Gallia County Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Our plan for the show will be to relocate to the new Activity Building once it is completed in 2028. The new building will provide additional space, enhanced amenities, and greater opportunities for exhibitors and attendees alike. We believe the move in 2028 will help establish the show as a premier outdoor event,” stated Crouse.
