French Art Colony Thursday Hot Summer Nights



Every Thursday afternoon and evening, from through September 25, The French Art Colony lawn and gardens comes to life with the arts!  French Art Colony Thursdays, Hot Summer Nights, is a weekly art festival with live entertainment, food from Honey Creek Barbeque, legal beverages, and local artists and crafters from the Gallia County Artisan Market.  Our evening event begins each Thursday at 6:00, with tickets only $5.  (Gates open at 5:30 with music beginning at 6:30.)  Please bring ID's and lawn chairs.  

Refreshments will be available for purchase throughout the evening.  Visitors will enjoy entertainment from great, regional musicians and browsing the booths and watching demonstrations from locals artists and crafters.  The Gallia County Artisan Market will also be open on the FAC lawn from 1:00-4:00 each Thursday afternoon.  (No ticket is required to visit the Artisan Market during the afternoon hours.

French Art Colony Thursdays, HOT SUMMER NIGHTS is presented weather permitting and will cancel in the event of rain.

Gabe's Race 5K

Gabe's Race 5K Run/Walk is a 5K run/walk with all proceeds going to brain cancer research. Money raised will go to Angels Among Us at Duke University which is a fundraising organization for the Tisch Brain Tumor Clinic at Duke.

It is in honor of Gabe Stewart, a Gallia County man, battling brain cancer himself.

The Shotgun Red Comedy Show

Join the Ariel in welcoming the SHOTGUN RED COMEDY SHOW to the historic Ariel-Dater Hall. This 4-piece country comedy show features your favorites from the Shotgun Red Variety Show seen weekly on RFDTV, including Miss Sheila, Shotgun Red, Steve Hall, with Jennifer Bruce and Roger Francis and impressions of over 30 artists!

Advance tickets $12 and at the door the night of the show are $15.

Maelzel Woodwind Quintet


The Ariel Chamber Theatre Series is pleased to present the Maelzel Woodwind Quintet. This Sunday afternoon concert features Steve Lawson, Kay Lawson, Richard Kravchak, Richard Spece, and Wendell Dobbs.  The quintet will be performing with historic woodwind instruments.
